What is Worse Than Back Pain?

November 19, 2017

We all know that back pain, no matter where it is or how painful, is the absolute worst.

So here at Restoration Health, we also thought of things in our life that are pretty awful, but just slightly better than back pain. Click here to learn how we can help with your pain.

Waking Up On Thursday And Thinking It’s Friday

It’s like taking one step forward and two steps back for your mental mindset. Usually, Fridays give you a feeling of accomplishment, a week’s worth of work in the books, and knowing that if you wanted to, you could stay in your bed all weekend. But waking up on a Thursday thinking it is Friday is having all of these feelings, but following it with a “just kidding” sign. Truly awful, but we will agree that this is slightly better than having a day with back pain.

Minor Foot Injuries

When you think about it, your feet are constantly in contact with the world. The floor when you’re standing, the sofa when you kick them up, the gas pedal of your car. They’re important. And it’s just like that your own body can betray you! Such as when you walk past a table and your pinky toe (or any toe for that matter) goes full contact against it, rendering miserable pain as you express adult language. Follow this by stepping on loose Lego pieces (also known as modern day house landmines) and queue in the white noise that is the only explainable feeling when standing up after your foot has fallen asleep. Mix all of these feelings in and you have the trifecta of minor foot pains. We’re going to let you finish foot pains, but back pain is still worse than you.

Locked In Fashion Prison

There is a way to test your mental fortitude by two ways. The first is wearing a pair of socks. The plot twist is that these socks are considerably wet, and you cannot take them off. Just imagine your toes pruning, the squishy sounds they make when you walk across hardwood, and all in all how uncomfortable you would be. The second one is surviving all of Christmas Day in that itchy wool sweater that your aunt gave you, but being unable to find that itch. You’re smiling through the pain. No matter, we would wear wet socks and itchy sweaters than to have constant back pain.

We appreciate you using good hygiene. So we don’t have to ask you to wash your hands often, but we’re glad you do. But make sure you roll up your sleeves because getting your cuffs wet can send you a mild internal rage. Great, now it’s going to be wet for at least 5 minutes! And by the time you’re done reading this, not only is it wet but now it’s wet AND cold! First world problems right? Too bad we would take this problem before back pain problems any day.

If you haven’t gotten the point, we want you to come in if you have any sort of back pain. We can asses your problems and find you a solution to get rid of this recurring issue. And once that’s gone from your life, then you can worry about table corners and wet socks full time.
